Dr. Aulakh completed his undergraduate studies at The Punjab Agricultural University in India before pursuing his veterinary education at Iowa State, where he graduated in 1994. Since then, he has been practicing veterinary medicine in California, dedicating himself to providing exceptional care to animals.
His career began at a prominent 5-doctor general practice in San Jose, CA, where he gained valuable experience and honed his skills as a veterinarian. In 2000, driven by his entrepreneurial spirit and desire for greater independence, Dr. Aulakh decided to establish his own practice - ABC Pet Clinic - located in San Ramon, CA.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Raj is happily married and a proud father of two grown children. In his leisure time, he indulges in activities that bring him joy and relaxation. Golfing holds a special place among his hobbies as it allows him to unwind while enjoying the outdoors. Additionally, Dr. Aulakh finds pleasure in cooking delicious meals and immersing himself in reading during moments of leisure.

Veterinarian
Dr. Nakanishi grew up in San Diego and knew from the age of 6 that she wanted to become a veterinarian. She earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis, and gained international experience through a short internship at the Tokyo Animal Medical Center in Japan.

She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oregon State University’s Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016.
After getting married, Dr. Nakanishi settled in the Bay Area, where she continues to build her career in veterinary medicine. She joined ABC Pet Clinic in 2023 and has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and pain management, focusing on improving the comfort and quality of life for her patients.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Nakanishi enjoys creative pursuits such as pottery, painting, and drawing. She also loves traveling and spending time with her husband and young daughter. At home, she shares her life with a beloved cat, Hime, and a Staffordshire terrier named Tatsu

Veterinary Assistant
Tara is a very passionate pet advocate. She has worked in the veterinary field for over 10 years now as a receptionist and vet assistant. She has dedicated her life to rescuing animals; she has worked with kitten rescues and the Pomeranian Rescue Group since she was a teenager. She was born and raised here in San Ramon and appreciates the great family community that is here. She loves taking her family and dogs to the local dog parks and hiking trails that are nearby.

Receptionist
Debbie is a receptionist at ABC Pet Clinic. She was born and raised in Livermore. She currently lives in Tracy with her husband of 33 years, her daughter, and her son. She shares her home with 2 dogs, Karma and Nyx, and her 3 cats MJ, Izzy, and Gabby.
She has always loved animals but spent most of her career in customer service. About 13 years ago, she was lucky to get to combine both of those.
In her off time, she loves spending time with her family and taking care of her pets.

Veterinary Assistant
Stella has been working in the veterinary field for the past 5 years and is currently pursuing her Veterinary Technician license, with plans to complete it this year. She’s passionate about patient care and continues to build her skills and knowledge every day.
At home, Stella is surrounded by animals she loves, including her pit bull mix, Otto, her chihuahua mix, Sol, and four cats who keep life entertaining. When she’s not at the clinic, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and dogs, recharging so she can continue to give her best to her patients.

Registered Veterinary Technician
Carolina has been working in the veterinary field for 3 years. She is a graduate of Carrington College and has earned her Veterinary Technician license. Carolina is passionate about patient care and is committed to continuing her education as she grows in her role as a veterinary technician.
Outside of the clinic, Carolina enjoys walking her dog, Tilo, and spending quality time with her family. She is enthusiastic about learning, values teamwork, and is excited about her future career in veterinary medicine.

Practice Manager, Administrative Team
Angie has grown up in the East Bay and has worked at ABC Pet Clinic for over 10 years. She has always had a passion for helping animals and feels lucky to be able to have a career doing what she loves.
She currently lives on a 5-acre Ranch in Clayton where she has 15 chickens, 6 rabbits, 4 dogs, 2 goats, 3 sheep, 2 alpacas, and 3 llamas! In her free time, she enjoys hiking, biking, and spending time with her animals on the farm.
