Veterinary Assistant
Tara Grant is a very passionate pet advocate. She has worked in the veterinary field for over 10 years now as a receptionist and vet assistant. She has dedicated her life to rescuing animals; she has worked with kitten rescues and the Pomeranian Rescue Group since she was a teenager. She was born and raised here in San Ramon and appreciates the great family community that is here. She loves taking her family and dogs to the local dog parks and hiking trails that are nearby.
Receptionist
Debbie Welch is a receptionist at ABC Pet Clinic. She was born and raised in Livermore. She currently lives in Tracy with her husband of 33 years, her daughter, and her son. She shares her home with 2 dogs, Karma and Nyx, and her 3 cats MJ, Izzy, and Gabby.
She has always loved animals but spent most of her career in customer service. About 13 years ago, she was lucky to get to combine both of those.
In her off time, she loves spending time with her family and taking care of her pets.
Practice Manager, Administrative Team
Angie has grown up in the East Bay and has worked at ABC Pet Clinic for over 10 years. She has always had a passion for helping animals and feels lucky to be able to have a career doing what she loves.
She currently lives on a 5-acre Ranch in Clayton where she has 15 chickens, 6 rabbits, 4 dogs, 2 goats, 3 sheep, 2 alpacas, and 3 llamas! In her free time, she enjoys hiking, biking, and spending time with her animals on the farm.
Practice Manager, Clinical Team
Tena is a seasoned registered veterinary technician who graduated from Western Career College in 1994. She recently moved from the Sacramento area to the East Bay and has been with ABC Pet Clinic since Jan 2023. She has a special interest in canine and feline dentistry. She's had numerous pets throughout the years, but currently is the proud owner of 3 boa constrictors, Gertrude, Roy and Pepper. Tena enjoys sports of all kinds, collecting sports memorabilia and photography.
RVT
As part of fulfilling a lifelong dream of helping animals, Jennifer is currently completing the veterinary technology program at Foothill Collge in Los Altos Hills. She has experience volunteering for organizations such as Canine Companions, SPCA, Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF), and Linsay Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital. When not at the clinic or school, she spends time with her husband, Wes, her two grown children, Natalie and Ryan, and her furry babies, Angus and Scout.

Ryan brings over 10 years of hands-on experience working with animals, combining a calm demeanor with a deep understanding of patient care. Originally from the East Bay Area, he has a strong connection to the local community and its pets. Ryan’s gentle approach and technical skills make him a valuable part of our team. When he's not at the clinic, his interests are playing guitar, admiring cars, or spending time with his beloved cat.

Marissa brings over 13 years of experience as a veterinary technician. She is deeply passionate about assisting every animal that comes into her care and is driven and dedicated to her work. At home, she has two beloved pets, Lenny and Poochi, who mean the world to her. Her love for animals has been a lifelong commitment, stemming from her upbringing on a dairy farm just outside Tracy. From a young age, she has always aspired to be in this field, devoted to helping as many animals as she can. If she could bring home every animal in need, she definitely would—if her wife would allow it, of course! She has a wealth of positive energy, which is just one of her many qualities. Her compassion runs deep, and she’s both eager and excited to further develop her skills in the years ahead.

Kloe is a recent graduate of Carrington College and is currently pursuing her RVT license. With a passion for animal care and a commitment to continued learning, she brings fresh knowledge and enthusiasm to the ABC Pet Clinic team. When she’s not assisting in patient care, Kloe expresses her creativity through drawing and painting. At home, she enjoys spending time with her lively pet crew, which includes a macaw, two cats, and two dogs.

Heather has been a dedicated member of the veterinary field for over 9 years. Her passion for animal care shines through in everything she does, especially when it comes to her beloved cats, Ted and Carol Anne. Heather brings both heart and experience to her role, making every patient and pet parent feel valued and understood. Outside the clinic, she enjoys expressing her creativity through her love of jewelry and makeup—and of course, spending quality time with her cats
